Adding New Users and Managing User Permissions

Roles: Admin
Last updated: January, 2020

Users are added at the company-level to grant access across all properties or at the property-level to control access limited to specific properties.

Note:

New accounts must be added by an admin-level user at the company. If the company portal has not yet been created in the NextCentury system, please contact Support.

Granting User Access to All Properties

User accounts can be added at the Home level in order to grant them access to all company properties.
  1. Under the Home menu, select the "Users" page
  2. Select the "+ Add User" button
  3. Enter the email address for this user (Note: if the user does not yet have a NextCentury account, an activation email will automatically be sent to this email address.)
  4. Select a Role for this user
  5. Submit by selecting the "Add User" button

Granting user access to a specific property

User accounts can be added at the Property level in order to grant them access to a specific property.

  1. Navigate to the target property.
  2. Under the property's menu, select the "Users" page
  3. Select the "+ Add User" button
  4. Enter the email address for this user (Note: If the user does not yet have a NextCentury account, an activation email will automatically be sent to this email address.)
  5. Select a Role for this user
  6. Submit by selecting the "Add User" button

Revoking user account access

User account access is revoked by selecting the Delete button on the target user's account listing within a company or property context.

  1. Navigate to the "Users" page at the Home level or on a Property's level (depending on where the user has access and where you want to remove).
  2. Select the user and additional options will appear
  3. Select the "Delete" button

Note

In performing these steps, a user is "deleted" from the context in which they are listed. If a user has been granted access to specific properties or with other companies, this process is only removing their access from the current context.

Granting a user account access to multiple properties

Users can be granted to all properties at your company or to specific properties. If you would like to grant a user account access for multiple properties, but not all of your company's properties, then navigate to each property and add the user.

Users cannot be granted access to groups of properties.
