Regardless of the reading method used, read files from a variety of systems can be imported into the NextCentury platform. Allowing for standardized reads, alerts, consumption reports, and more to be viewed remotely at any time.

Reads are securely stored on the NextCentury Cloud, allowing users to view up to 6 months of read history conveniently and securely.

Add read file data to properties within the NextCentury Web Portal. CSV and XLXS files from a variety of meter reading systems are already supported with more coming soon.

This article outlines how to import read files to existing manual read properties within the NextCentury Web Portal. For information on how to create a manual read property, see Manual Read Properties.

How to import a read file

1. Format file headers

Ensure that the column headers within your read file match the NextCentury format.

Note: Read files must be formatted correctly to be imported. CSV and XLSX files can be used. In the future exported files will be supported from a number of meter reading systems automatically.
