Installation
1. Mount the RE4 Repeater
Remove the mounting plate from the Repeater.
Anchor the mounting plate using the included hardware or tape.
Slide the Repeater back onto the mounting plate.
2. Connect the Power Supply
Using a standard electrical outlet, connect the included power supply to the Repeater.
Caution
Only use the provided power supply. The correct power supply has an output of 15v.
3. Verify Repeater communication
Press the Test Connect button. The Repeater’s RF LED will blink green when it is able to communicate with its Gateway.
Note
The RE4 Repeater must be programmed in the NextCentury Cloud and its Gateway must be online, in order for it to begin communicating with its Gateway.
Programming
1. Open the Network page
From the property menu, select Equipment.
Then select the Network tab in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Add the Repeater
Locate the serial number on the back of the Repeater.
Enter the serial number in the Web Portal.
The Repeater will then be added to the property.
Note
Be sure to add a note describing the Repeater location. Adding a picture as well as a GPS tag using the mobile app is also highly recommended.
3. Verify Repeater communication
Press the Test Connect button on the Repeater. The Repeater’s RF LED will blink green when it is able to communicate with its Gateway.
The Repeater's communication status will then update.
1. Open the Network page
From the property menu, select Network.
Select the + button in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Add the Repeater
Locate the serial number on the back of the Repeater.
Enter the serial number into the mobile app and select "Program Device".
Note
Be sure to add a note describing the Repeater location. Adding a picture as well as a GPS tag while at the Repeater is also highly recommended.
The Repeater will then be added to the property.
