Device level vs. organization level
Meter or billing resolution can be set two ways: at a specific device, or across the entire organization.
Setting resolution for an individual meter
Find the meter, then use the Edit Meter option on the right side of the screen to open the meter configurations menu
Click More Meter Configurations to edit the billing resolution or meter resolution
Meter multiplier should reflect the number of decimal places on the face of the meter. More precise AMI meters tend to read in the hundredths place, while older analog meters may only read one decimal or none at all
Billing resolution controls what's sent on the billing file
Make any changes, then hit Save
Setting the default resolution at the company level
From the left-hand navigation, go to Organization > Settings, then find the Meter Default option
Click the edit button on the right side to set a default multiplier, or program advanced settings such as resolution by meter size or meter class
Advanced rules: resolution by meter size
Click Advanced Rules > Add Condition, then set the condition type to meter size and choose the multiplier to apply when that condition is met
| Meter size | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 5/8" (0.625) | 0.01 |
| 3/4" (0.75) | 1000 |
Hit Save to lock in your changes — a green success bar confirms it went through
