Programming in the field has never been easier. With the NCSS app, you can input all the information you need for each unit from your mobile device. Quickly add new devices to your properties, update property arrangements, and add pictures & GPS coordinates of your devices for convenient reference.

Direct Connect allows you to configure an NCSS device directly from your Android or iOS device.

For Gateways, you can use Direct Connect to set up a Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, enable or disable cellular, and force the device to sync.

For Repeaters, Direct Connect allows you to put the device in rapid check-in mode.

For meter devices, such as the Remote Reader, you can configure several items to ensure your device is reading and communicating meter data correctly. These items include the meter's multiplier, unit of measure, signal type, and initial meter read (IMR).

Note: adding new devices to your property is not done via Direct Connect. For more information, please see Programming Equipment in the NextCentury Web Portal.

How to connect

Note: Your mobile device must be within 10 feet of the Gateway with Bluetooth/BLE turned on. You may need to grant the NCSS app permission to access location services and/or Bluetooth in your device's settings.

Not sure if your devices are connected? No problem. Use the Test Connect tool to verify device connectivity details to make sure your the installation and radio networking of your property are set up correctly.

The app's built-in barcode scanner makes it easy to get device information in just a few taps. Scan a device's barcode to view its unit, building, utility type, and more. Quickly jump to the device's Unit Details page, or use the Replace Item button to quickly and easily swap out a device.
