The Unit Details page: view and edit a unit

The Unit Details page is the window that opens when you select a unit on a property's Equipment page. It shows everything about that one unit: its current meter read and usage history, its devices and meters, its alerts, and notes.

To open it:

  1. Open the property and select Equipment.
  2. On the Units tab, select the building, then the unit.
  3. Select View.

Animation in the web portal. With a property open, Equipment is selected in the left menu. On the Units tab of the Equipment page, a building (1255 in this example) is selected in the building list, then a unit (Unit 2). The unit's row expands to show its read, a usage chart and a blue strip with View, Edit and Delete; View is selected. The Unit Details page opens, with the breadcrumb (property name, then Equipment, then 1255 - Unit 2), Notes and Edit Unit at the top right, the CURRENT READ (530,480 Gallons) and the unit's Transceiver.

Where can I see the unit's meter read and history?

The current meter read is at the top of the page. Hover over the help icon to see how the read is calculated: pulses times the multiplier, plus the IMR. Hover over the help icon under any of those to see where it came from.

Hovering over the help icon next to the current read, 530,480 Gallons, opens Show me the math to its right: PULSES 29,338 times MULTIPLIER 10, plus IMR 237,100, equals CURRENT READ 530,480 Gallons. Hovering over the help icon under PULSES shows when the Transceiver last checked in and with what pulse count. Hovering over the one under IMR shows who set the Initial Meter Read and when.

The bottom of the page shows the unit's usage as a graph and a table of check-ins. To download a usage report, choose a date range and select the download icon .

The date range menu below the graph is changed from Last 7 Days to Today, then to Custom, with new dates picked in a calendar; the graph and the table of check-ins update each time. Then the download icon at the right end of the row is selected, and the report downloads as a CSV file.

Where can I see meter model and device information?

Device and meter information is on the right-hand side. Select Show More under a device or meter for the details.

Selecting Show More under the Transceiver lists its open alert (Leak), Pulses, Signal Strength (Good), Temperature, Battery (100%), Version (TR201) and a diagram showing it's 1 Hop From Gateway. Selecting Show More under the Cold Water Meter (NMT - VersaMag (x10 Gallons) in this example) lists its Multiplier (10), Unit of Measure (Gallons), IMR and Photo; photos taken with the NextCentury Mobile App show there.

Where do I view active unit alerts?

Open alerts show under the device, for example 1 Open Alert. Select it to see the alerts. To dismiss one, select Dismiss, add a note if you like, and select Dismiss Alerts.

Selecting Dismiss next to it opens the Dismiss Alerts box: You are about to dismiss 1 alert. You may enter some notes below before continuing. A note is typed in (Leaking Toilet in this example) and Dismiss Alerts is selected. The box closes and the open alert no longer shows under the Transceiver.

Alerts also show in the usage table under the graph.

In the table, the alert is a dark gray row between two check-ins: the time, the serial number, Leak, Meter leak alert detected, and Status: open.

For what each alert means and what to do, see View and resolve alerts.
